i just finished reading 'Spiral' by Koji Suzuki today early morning. this book is sequels to the 'Ring' also by the same author and is succeeded by 'Loop'. though ring was superbly fast paced and very well handled, i feel that there's way too much medical lingo in 'Spiral'. And this is the fact that makes it little boring in between, but as you are nearing the end you suddenly realize that all the preceding boring crap was just to fill in the gaps and loopholes in the plot about to be unfolded before the reader. And as it unfolds, you are dumbstruck at the dexterity of the author. Though a little predictable at the end (specially for hardcore horror fans like me!) 'Spiral' makes an interesting read. I'm really looking forward to reading 'Loop' but I wont be able to. Atleast not until I'm home. By that time, I have 'Six Suspects' by the much-acclaimed 'QnA' aka 'Slumdog Millionaire' author Vikas Swarup, which I'll be reading during my long enough train journey from calicut to Agra, on 14th of May.
